Park Hohe Tauern
With an area of approximately 1,800 km², the Hohe Tauern National Park is Austria’s largest protected natural area and one of the largest in Europe.

Maisiflitzer: Featuring sharp curves and speeds of up to 40 km/h, this is the most famous toboggan run near Zell am See, just a 15-minute drive away.
Kohlschnait Toboggan Run: Located in Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße, about 10 minutes from Zell am See.
Biberg Toboggan Run: Found in Saalfelden, a 10-minute drive from Zell am See. This summer toboggan run on the Biberg takes you down 61 curves and 3 thrilling jumps.
Hochalpenstrasse
The Großglockner High Alpine Road is one of Austria’s most famous attractions and is regarded as one of the most scenic routes in the world.
This road is among Austria’s top three excursion destinations! Stretching nearly 48 kilometers, the mostly high alpine route winds through spectacular mountain landscapes.
With 36 hairpin bends, the road leads to the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Visit highlights such as the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, the Großglockner, and the Pasterze Glacier, the largest remaining glacier in the Eastern Alps.

Kitzlochklamm
The Kitzlochklamm, near the village of Taxenbach, is a 1.5-kilometer-long gorge with an elevation difference of over 100 meters.
The river gorge is known for its powerful waters and feels more like a ravine than a traditional gorge. At the entrance, you’ll catch your first glimpse of an impressive waterfall.
From there, the trail continues along wooden walkways, several bridges, and stairs built into the rocks, bringing you close to the rushing waters.
The hike is a bit challenging, but you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the wide gorge along the way.
Sigmund Thun Klamm
Although not particularly large (320 meters), the Sigmund Thun Gorge is one of SalzburgerLand’s most beautiful gorges.
The hike to the gorge begins at a waterfall and continues via a sturdy wooden path, stairs, and bridges that guide you through the narrow ravine. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the trail.
This impressive natural wonder attracts many visitors each year. The gorge is located in Kaprun and is easily accessible from nearby towns like Saalbach and Rauris.
Wildkogel-Arena

A true highlight begins at the mid-station of the Wildkogelbahn. On the Rutschenweg (Slide Trail), hiking with children becomes an entirely new adventure. Along the way, you’ll find 10 stainless steel slides, making the journey both exciting and memorable for kids and adults alike.
