900 m altitude, Zillertal Arena ski area
Conveniently located next to Wildkogel Arena and Kitzbühel
Free ski bus to Zillertal Arena
Free admission to the Kristall-Schwimmbad
Wald im Pinzgau is a real mountain village. The Salzach originates on the territory of this municipality, which flows through the village as a lively, rushing mountain stream.
Further into the valley you reach Königsleiten and from there the high-altitude ski area of the Zillertal Arena, lower in the valley the family-friendly Wildkogel Arena and the beautiful alpine villages of Neukirchen am Großvenediger and Bramberg am Wildkogel.
Here in the Zillertal Alps you can enjoy a wonderful panorama with a view of the peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Because the village is located quite high, you can count on excellent snow conditions throughout the season. Skiers can get to the Zilltertaler Arena ski area toll-free or take the environmentally friendly option of the free ski bus. Wald im Pinzgau is also particularly popular among cross-country skiing enthusiasts.
The adjacent swimming pool, Kristallbad, has an indoor pool, outdoor pool and indoor slide, as well as a large sauna and various wellness areas. You can use this for a fee. In addition, the swimming pool houses a cozy bistro, the ‘Bürgerbaron’. The Bürgerbaron can be reached from both outside and inside the swimming pool. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a tasty snack.
In Wald im Pinzgau you will find a supermarket, a bakery, a bank, several restaurants and the sports shop ‘Sports & More Unterwurzacher’ in addition to the Kristall (swimming) pool.
